FINANCES AND INSURANCE
As of June 1st, 2022 my standard fee for a 50-55 minute psychotherapy session is $175. My fee can be paid by: cash, check, PayPal, Venmo or credit card.
I am now offering longer sessions for couples. 75 minute sessions will cost $220, 90 minutes sessions will cost $270. Longer sessions are subject to availability in my schedule.
If you are opting for Discernment Counseling your sessions will be two hours long and will cost $350 each. Discernment Counseling is never more than five sessions.
I do not contract with any insurance companies. You may request a “paid in full” receipt from me to submit to your insurance company in case they are willing to cover part of your payment to me. I do not communicate with insurance companies. Be aware that insurance companies often require a diagnosis that remains on your record and could be viewed as a pre-existing condition. Also most insurance does not cover marriage/couple counseling.
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the new federal law, all health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have a right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. A diagnosis is also included..
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. F
